Really beautiful place to visit.

It is peaceful and quiet. You can pray meditate and not get disturbed for hours. The keepers just respect of your private moment and will even tolerate people staying a bit longer if needed.

The are is absolutely spotless and the scent of fresh flowers is quite dominant in the main hall.

There is an abundance of parking so you will not struggle to park close to the entrance.

There is also access for reduced mobility. If you cannot make it on your own just buzz the bell and surely someone will help you in.

To my awareness there is a Greek School housed at the establishment which apparently is really known for its quality classes.

If you are out of cash ask to make a donation by card, they have a card machine in house.

Review for Greek Fest.
We first moved to Palatine many years ago and that weekend was the St. Nectarios Greek Orthodox Church Greek fest. We knew we had made the right choice. We have gone every year, multiple times in the weekend, ever since. The volunteers are super friendly and they keep everything moving smoothly. The addition of the "drive thru" and credit card processing a few years back have only sped thing up more. The food is fantastic, the people are all great and we look forward to it every year.
Yeah if you live in the neighborhood traffic is kinda bad for the weekend, but that is a tiny price to pay. Years before this I used to live near Greek Village downtown and had some amazing food. This is every bit as good and I can walk to this!

I really enjoy going to services here. There's a lot of english spoken in the Liturgy so it's easier for me to follow and be present. It's an absoultely beautifully decorated Church with it's iconography. The choir is heavenly. It's mid-sized, not too big and not to small. The staff is always friendly and helpful. I love seeing the ushers and the deacons, etc. rush about doing their work during the services. You can tell they absolutely love their Church and working for the Lord. Father seems very down to earth and I really enjoy his sermons.

Saint Nectarios and his Church were there for me and my family back in 2000, during a tragic time. I have come back in recent years and am glad the Church is still here, so close to my home as well. It's been a real blessing. Thank you Lord.

This is one of the largest Greek Churches in the Chicago Metropolitan Area. Beautiful interior and building but has lots of people making it difficult to know the whole community if you are new stewards.
