While I understand that dealing with the elements must be difficult, expecting artists to perform in 70mph winds while advising people to stay in their tents is just irresponsible (Friday23rd of August 2024). Then on Saturday, some huge acts were cut from the line up (for example Teddy Swims) while others had 35 minute sets, which was madness and meant that by the time we warmed up, the set was over (David kushner had 2 sets). The organisers must have been trying to do everything to avoid cancellations but this isn't what we signed up for (we came specifically for blink 182, the prodigy and teddy swims). Blink 192 were so quiet I was able to have a full blown conversation with my fellow festival goer ....

3 hours of been crushed waiting for a shuttle bus. It was disgusting, I’m surprised no one got seriously hurt!! Very dangerous.
£110 for a day ticket. Couldn’t get in at 11 due to the wind. 90% of the acts cancelled because every tent or stage was closed other than the main stage and a small tent.
Liam Gallagher played on volume 1, couldn’t hear him. Over crowding everywhere because there was only good bands on at the main stage. Why wasn’t the stages open in the wind but the fair ground rides that had people 100ft in the air were?

The acts (the few remaining) were incredible, the planning of the festival was not.

My partner and I travelled down from Scotland excited to see Teddy Swims, Confidence Man and others. While having dinner on Friday night, we received a text that informed us that 3/6 of the stages were going to be closed for the remainder of the festival and as a result, half of the acts were getting cut (Including the aforementioned performers). Not only have we paid hundreds for the day ticket, we also paid for accommodation in Leeds (Which is also not cheap) and travel too and from Yorkshire. Although we got to see Blink and 2 Door Cinema Club, its still a massive let down that they could not have foreseen the weather conditions and made adequate arrangements to overcome this.

Overcrowding was also an issue. This seems to be a common theme with any festival these days, but its especially telling when instead of spreading people out across 6 stages, they are all diverted to 3... It again is another lapse in the planning of the festival.

Exiting the field via car was a nightmare. We waited roughly 50 mins as people walked down the exit route. Surely having pedestrians (Most of which being under the influence) walking down the road cars are also meant to be driving down is negligent to say the least.

Lastly the price of food and drink is scandalous. £13 for the worst noodles I've ever had in my life, and £7 a pint should be a crime. I understand they have the monopoly but all it does is entice people to smuggle in drink and other substances.

Day Ticket on Sunday, obvs the best line up for the weekend.
Shuttle bus prices have gone up so much so missus decided to drive a small group of us. The car park was a 2 mile insertion hike to the main gate. No ques and straight through security.

Glad we didn’t go Friday/Saturday as it seemed a nightmare for the campers. I would have been disappointed missing so many acts and stages closed, but that’s the British weather in August. I’ve been when it’s been like a swamp and red hot sun, the weather makes this festival but was still great

Great day out and amazing that my little girl got in free. Great family touch that. Letting children experience the festival with their parents. More festivals should adopt this stance

Very very good, enjoyable atmosphere but queueing time to get in was horrendous. Plenty of food & drink outlets which were fast service but high prices.
