What a bust. We thought Sunday afternoon would be busy. I’ve gone to neighborhood picnics with more people. At least there was plenty of free parking. And there weren’t that many bbq vendors. The band was ok with a bunch of people listening. I feel sorry for the vendors. Well, let’s hope Friday and Saturday were packed. We’ll try again next year.

This was my first time at the Grant BBQ Fest in conjunction with the Cool Karz Car Show. The car show was well attended and we walked the BBQ Fest, enjoyed the band and aome good bbq.

That is my 1951 Chevy COE Ramp Truck and 1939 Chevy Coach Race Car.

We have gone every year since it began. We found the setup very confusing and congested. We could not find the bathrooms or portable toilets. Finally found one. Needless to say we were there for about an hour. Generally we stay for at least 3 hours. Never did the crafts. We did have a great sandwich at the booth that one second prize last year. It was great.

Free admission, but in order to get anything, it obviously costs money. The prices are a tad high (which you could have probably guessed) 12 dollars (or 12 tickets) for 1 medium-sized sandwich. It's not a bad place if you have some time and money to burn.

The lowest costing things I saw were a drink ($3/3 tickets) and a hotdog ($5/5 tickets). The most expensive being a plate of food, which was $16/16 tickets.

The festival itself was a lot of fun prices for a little high but in the end it's for a good cause. Lots of crafts and things to buy great people and food was pretty good. The music was top notch great local performers.

There were not enough BBQ stands, only 4 stands, we waited in line for 45 minutes only to be told upon ordering that they were totally out of pulled pork, and ribs. So we had to get back in another line, another 45 minute wait. This was Saturday at 3, and they were already running out of food?!!! It was really hot out out, when I finally got my ribs, it cost 13 tickets, each ticket cost $1.50 A rib platter at a festival cost me $16.50.
I got it from Maws BBQ, Danish ribs were Superb!!
The music/bands were great. However,
it just did not feel like a BBQ Festival.
Why are people allowed to bring their pet dogs to these events!!!! I saw only "1" legit Service dog, the rest were pets, this infuriates me. I will not be attending next year.
