What a great Irish American Festival that they've been celebrating for over 90 years. Take the time in book the trip to come to Gloucester to enjoy this small town Festival. We started off having lunch at the Blue Collar which is a fantastic Lobster, fresh seafood place right on the docks. It's just a full day of activities! They do the blessing of the fleet and celebrate all the lives that have been lost to the Sea. If you've ever seen the movie The Perfect Storm this is where that group came from. Throughout the day you can do many different things going to the parade, the blessing of the fleet at the fisherman's statue, the Festival rides and food. Then they have a greased pole competition wear out right offshore there is a platform that has a long greased telephone pole that people have to try to run to the end it is absolutely hilarious to watch. The best is whoever the winner is they parade around the town on the shoulders of everyone and treated like a king! They even have boat races large row boats like eight-man teams that race to shore pretty awesome to watch. We set up on the beach to watch the activities out in the water the kids went and swam. It is a fun-filled day of boozing, eating and loads of fun. They have bands oh, you just can't go wrong spending the day at this Festival!

In 2019, I was a vendor for clean energy for this festival and whoever was in charge harassed me and my colleagues because we were giving out cash for our promotion, however this organization was hypocritical enough to still put $100 bills in their claw machines that they give us grief because we were handing out cash to the public. Whoever was in charge of treasury who gave us an attitude was very confrontational,rude, and impossible to talk to. I don't know who is in charge but that's not how you treat a vendor who pays good money to be there only to be harassed. Shame on this group of officials and their hypocrisy.

St Peter's fiesta is so much if you have never experienced that you have to at least go once it's also a great place for families with games and carnival rides boating the greasy Pole is do not miss

Ugh, if you want to check out the food that poisoned me, you should blame it on the booth that served chicken fingers. It all happened on July 1st, 2018. I'm never eating fiesta food again for as long as I live.
