I recently had a relatively serious surgical procedure that Dr. Richard F Fansler presided over. Dr Fansler made sure I was well informed of everything to expect and he answered all my questions. His bedside manner was amazing and his skill as a surgeon was spot on perfect. I had heard so many good things about Dr. Fansler that I drove from West Palm Beach to Tampa to have the procedure done by him. After surgery Dr. Fansler checked up on me daily and weekly for weeks to come. The total experience took the worry and pain out of the whole process. I was so impressed with my results that I recommended my son to him to have him perform a relatively complex procedure. I would recommend to anyone that wants only the best, to visit
Dr. Fansler. Dr. Fansler is an outstanding Doctor and an ambassador for empathy, compassion, excellent surgical skills and medical knowledge. I feel secure that many people are alive today because of Dr. Richard F Fansler.

I went to the hospital with a stabbing pain under my right lower rib. After a few tests it was determined I needed my gallbladder removed. My regular doctor recommended I have Dr Fansler do the surgery. Dr Fansler did an excellent job of explaining the procedure and what to expect. He did the surgery and the pain was gone. The post surgery pain was so minimal I didn't even need Tylenol much less any strong pain meds. The healing process at 10 days I would say is incredible having zero pain, a minimal remaining bruise and the 3 tiny incisions almost fully healed. Dr Fansler is obviously highly skilled and I am so happy my Dr recommended him.

My husband Walter Duda had breast cancer in October and Dr. Fansler was referred to us. The moment we met him we knew we were in good hands. The office staff was so friendly and Dr. Fansler walked us through what to expect. He was there to talk to me right after surgery. Today even in Walts post op visit Dr. Fansler took the time to be sure all our questions were answered. We would highly recommend him. He made a tough experience much easier to handle.

1. The receptionist is "a little slow " and not very good greeting people.
2. Stacy is a good assistant but not as knowledgeable as she appears to be.
3. Dr Fansler is not a compassionate person and treats your visit like a business deal.
4. I had an ultrasound done on my legs in preparation for a vein treatment. Afterwards I scheduled an appointment for a procedure. When the time came they said I had no appointment! Why would I have an ultrasound done if I wasn't going to have a procedure done?!?!
5. Not going back.

Richard F Fansler left me with stones in my bioduct and a hernia requiring multiple visits to the ER for a simple gallbladder
surgery..

Here is my story.
April of 22 I went into advent health in Tarpon Springs with abdominal pain.
I was diagnosed with a bad gallbladder and scheduled for surgery.
Fansler came into my room pre operation.
He was rude and short and dismissive. In the operating room he was no different.
He performed the surgery and sent me home. The pain never stopped and got worse. I went back to advent with the pain, they gave me drugs and sent me home.
The now is getting worse, I went to mease countryside for a second opinion.
The said I hade stones in my bioduct and it could kill me. Because if insurance the sent me back to advent.
This time they went into my throat and found the stones and removed them.
I noticed a bump above my belly button, I showed Fansler on my follow up and he said "Oh that will go away"
Turns out it was a hole Fansler left in my stomach wall. (A HERNEIA) Now I'm trying to deal with that. and its growing every day.
Dr.Richard F Fansler is the worst doctor in the state, believe me.

Let's start with Dr. Fansler's staff- they are the nicest group of ladies and his nurse Stacy is wonderful. Dr. Fansler and his staff are kind, caring, and compassionate. They listened to all my concerns and answered all my questions- before and after surgery and worked me in when I needed to be seen. Not once was I made to feel like a pest or rushed through my appointment. This kind of care and attention is few and far between, and I drive from two and a half hours away to see this group- they are well worth it. I highly recommend this physician and his staff.

From the receptionist, the person who scheduled my surgery to the nurse in the office I was treated with respect compassion and professionalism.
